A LIL' ABOUT ME !

Hi i'm Mary Raju Mathew...and this blog is about me and my school...International Indian School Dammam...!!!!

PART 3-THE FINAL ONE!!

And do you guys wanna know how Smitha Ma’am changed from her Godzilla image to my best pal!!....(yeah she is my best friend..A SECRET REVEALED HERE) Ask my friends back in 9th grade what they feared the most…they would say a homework day in the chemistry period….Smitha Ma’am used to take care of us like ‘small little children’... (and there has never been a change in that even when she became my class teacher in 12th grade)….there was this particular question she had asked us to do as homework and sadly most of us couldn’t figure out the head or tail to the question…and so Ma’am mercifully gave us another question which we supposed to be of the same kind to solve….and what more none of us did have any idea of that one either…and then came the “deathtrap”…Ma’am came out on a check and in her hand a plastic scale..a nightmare thing in any kindergartener…well after hearing a few slappin sounds we geared our brains to full power and started solvin the problem….but Smitha Ma’am had taken enough lookin at our clueless faces…..thats when lyk an apple fell on Newton..Ma’am got the idea of bringin in ‘Steel’ scale (thank goodness she didn’t the ides of bringin in an iron scale) from the odr class…….. “Gruesome”…we were all glued to our seats..our brains wear fueling up power in full concentration because for every error u were to receive nothing less than bang with a STEEL ruler…wow…when all of us were sittin stunned wid d *idea of gettin beaten up by that thing….we heared a big *Bang* one that of a hundred tin cans fallin together down the aisle…we turned back to see my poor classmate red in fear…yeah what more….that poor thing got a serving….!! The sound of that bang still remains anew in my ears….that was the ‘scariest’(I mean one of thr scariest) class I ever had in school…it would be quite unimaginable of how we held our breath till the class got over..and how narrowly I had escaped a beating when my partner pointed out d mistake I had made in my book…just in time before Smitha Ma’am looked into my book…. But after a gap in 10th grade when she became my classteacher for two consecutive years she wasn’t the old fear anymore….(except for a few scoldings…) everythin was great…those two years I really got close to her…when everybody luked up her wid a kind of fear….she had become not just a great teacher but a good friend too…and now I as write this I really miss her beyond words!!... So guys..a free piece of advice:…ur teachers can never hate you….whatever reason they may punish u for they do it for ur good….bcoz they simply ‘love u’…c’mon dude they are afterall our second mothers….henceforth just wish nothing but GOOD FOR THEM…AND YOU CAN SEE YOURSELF BEING BLESSED WITH THEIR LOVE AND CARE EVERYWHERE THROUGH OUT YOUR LIFE!!!...........
                                                                                THE END!!!

PART 2 AND THIS ONE TOO...

.
Another time is when we messed it out with Jessy Ma’am…now this is how it goes...it was our science exhibition time in 10th grade…and we really had hit the deadline and couldn’t come wid the the project we were asked to make-the human heart…..it was as if nobody really could figure out a way to make the heart without givin the touch of a primary school project…after a millions gruellin hours and a hundred rejections from our science teachers we did finally come up wid some old-alum-using-heating process to mould the human heart….and the good news was that there were just three days to go before the exhibition day….we were a group of three…and all of us were on our nails and toes to finish it up….we had to often come out in free periods and since it was the last few days we were granted permission to come out during class hours too…..but my history teacher Jessy Ma’am a.k.a JJ had scheduled a test the other day with firm instructions to attend it…..so the next day that is 2 days before the project…during the short break just before the history class ..we were again toes and nails lyk sme kind of NASA scientists trying frantically to build a ship to save the world…that’s when the bell rang for the history class(why is tht the bell is always sme kinda ‘ omen’ everywhere)…one of us ran in time to the class and the rest two of couldn’t make it time..thanks to the mould and stuff (we really had to hide our life-saving ship somewhere right)…..we ran up the stairs and stopped short before d class door was closed…we asked ma’am if we could enter..but after a few explanations for being a few seconds late….she wouldn’t let us in….so we stood there …all 3o minutes outside the door watching our classmates writin one of the most easiest test in school history..(I have never so badly desired to write any test)….we felt lyk invisible aliens from mars standing outside the class door….and after the 30 minutes when the omen (I mean the bell) rang once again….JJ left the class without heeding to our apologies….this incident again left me wonderin if JJ had started to think about us as another set of bottle heads in class….but nah! My heart wouldn’t let it go lyk that…..once again lyk Nafees Ma’am….JJ too got me on her track…I tried to be her best student and i’m so happy to say I really did become one of her best…and brushed aside my any other doubts…when she gave me those hugs everytime I achieved something in my school life..i would never forget the hug she gave me afta I got selected as the vice-captain in 11th grade….JJ too was another great mentor..another great teacher who has indeed inspired a lot in me….

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU BEEN PUNISHED AT SCHOOL!!

When smebdy asks me of any punishments I got in school…I wld always thnk of three of my teachers at IISD. Nafees Ma’am, Jessy Ma’am and my Favorite Smitha Ma’am…… It was back in 9th grade….we were givin our maths test paper…the bell had rung and of course it was time for the next class…Leenapoly Ma’am had jst gotten out of the class wid d papers…and I had turned back to luk at Sneha and ask her how her paper went…and little did I knw that somebody had jst entered the class at that time….the last thing I remember was getting a hard pull on my left hand before being thrown out of the class wid sneha and carol…everythin happened in jst a blink of the eye…something lyk how Dash from The Incredibles moves around….that it took us quite a while to process what exactly had happened…Nafees Ma’am havin seein the class in such a chaotic state had taken the liberty of kickin us out(three innocent souls)…to bring back order…while me and sneha were discussin this meanful act on us…I could see carol on the verge of tears….and to make matters a little worse my English teacher was passing by the corridor….she did stop to see us standin out and infact looked twice at us…she asked us what was goin on…that’s when this thing called “embarrassment” seemed to flushed down our cheeks….being three of her pleasing students( well I’m not really exaggerating here..)….confused she opened the class door smiled at Nafees Ma’am…took a book…asked her if everythin was okay (to which she jst smiled)…and gave us a “don’t- worry-ma’am- is- jst- pullin- an- Aprils day joke” kinda look and walked away….though we were invited back to the class after those “uneasy” time we spend out….it did leave a beautifully merciless picture about my dear physics teacher…….but after that I always had prayed that she would forgive and forget that incident….and wouldn’t consider us as sme kind of ‘unwanted pranksters’ in class…..and years later as if God had really heard our humble pleas……I haven’t seen her not even a single day without that beautiful smile every time I met her in the corridor….she never again had that old image in my mind…I know about all the pains she had gone through in her life….it was my mistake to see her as smebdy lyk that....each time she would come and talk to me..each time she says ‘hello mary, how do you do. how’s ur studies”….it jst made me realize that I had never before seen her wonderful soul…..as a great teacher and a wonderful mentor….and maybe that’s why shes got a huge fan-followers in IISD….and outside IISD too .
